Help yourself to leftovers! Or lack thereof if you don't have enough cake...
Here is a guide to help you take the guesswork out of this go-to party piece.
Something to keep in mind when deciding how much cake to order is how large the slices will be cut. Depending on the type of event, the serving sizes can, and will, vary anywhere from the industry standard of 2" x 2" and any size larger than this, with the exception of weddings, where the slices are cut 1" x 2".

Serving size is largely dependent on personal preference and availability of other desserts at the event. Always keep in mind there will be those few guests that hold up their pointer finger and thumb like they are holding and invisible marble and ask for "just a little bit", and those that have been eyeballing the cake the whole time and want a piece the size of Everest.
